Russia Develops Reusable Rocket Stage to Compete in Global Space Race
Russia is advancing its space capabilities by developing a reusable rocket stage, a move expected to reduce the costs of space launches significantly. Dmitry Bakanov, head of Roscosmos, announced that the development and testing of this technology will take about one and a half to two years.
This innovation follows the successful model demonstrated by SpaceX, as well as efforts by China and Japan. The Russian space agency is also focusing on the 'Amur-SPG' project, a methane-fueled rocket with a reusable first stage, projected for launch by the end of the decade.
These advancements aim to strengthen Russia's position in the global space industry by making launches more economical.
