South Korea Begins Dismantling Border Loudspeakers Amid Diplomatic Shift

South Korea has initiated the removal of loudspeakers positioned along its border with North Korea, marking a conscious effort to reduce tensions between the two nations. Spearheaded by President Lee Jae-myung, this decision aims to foster dialogue and restore trust after a period of heightened conflict.

The loudspeakers, which previously disseminated anti-North Korea propaganda, were a response to provocations from Pyongyang. Despite these gestures of goodwill, North Korea has dismissed South Korea's overtures for dialogue, showing little interest in diplomatic engagement.
