Recent Crashes Expose Alarming Rise in Impaired Driving Incidents

Meanwhile, on the A3 near Seligenstadt, a 54-year-old driver was caught driving in the wrong direction with a blood alcohol content of 1.68 per mille. Despite initially ignoring police signals, he was eventually stopped and arrested for endangering road traffic.

In a separate incident in Rheinsberg-Kleinzerlang, a 42-year-old driver and his 43-year-old passenger were severely injured when their car veered off the road and collided with a tree. Neither was wearing a seatbelt, and the car sustained considerable damage estimated at around 30,000 euros. These events underscore the critical importance of sober and attentive driving.
