Ukraine reports severe drone attack
Ukraine has repelled a massive drone attack from Russia, with over 40 drones shot down over Kyiv. The attack was the most severe in months, but no casualties were reported.
Ukraine accuses Russia of deliberately targeting civilians. In response, Ukraine has received the first batch of F-16 fighter jets from the US and NATO allies, with a total of 130 needed to counter Russian air power.
However, the US and its allies are hesitant to fully commit due to concerns about escalating the war. Meanwhile, Russia has increased the signing bonuses for volunteers joining the army to fight in Ukraine, aiming to boost military recruitment and avoid nationwide mobilization.
Despite the ongoing conflict, Ukraine is working towards peace negotiations and plans to strengthen bilateral and multilateral agreements. President Zelenskyj is adamant that any territorial changes must have the approval of the Ukrainian people.
