Germany Highlights Türkiye's Key Role in Syria Crisis

Germany has emphasized Türkiye's pivotal role in addressing the ongoing crisis in Syria. This acknowledgment came during a meeting between Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock at a NATO gathering. The discussion underscored the importance of protecting civilians and minorities in the war-torn region.

Amid escalating conflicts, anti-regime forces have made significant gains in Aleppo and Idlib. The Syrian National Army has also been active in clearing territories such as Tal Rifaat. Meanwhile, airstrikes from Russia and the Syrian regime continue, with Iran expressing readiness to send troops upon Damascus's request.

Türkiye stands as a key regional player, with its strategic operations against the PKK/YPG and commitment to Syria's unity. The country's role is further supported by NATO, which acts as a security anchor.
