Response to Foot-and-Mouth Disease Outbreak

A recent outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in a buffalo herd in Brandenburg has triggered nationwide concern in Germany. The federal government has convened a Central Crisis Team to address the situation, which includes establishing exclusion and surveillance zones.
