Wave of Bomb Threats Disrupts Schools in Germany

A recent wave of bomb threats has targeted hundreds of schools across Germany, prompting significant concern among authorities. Education Minister Sven Teuber condemned these acts as abhorrent and criminal.

The threats have predominantly occurred in regions like Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg, where 180 identical emails were reported. Investigators believe these incidents are linked to ongoing high school graduation exams.

Although no concrete dangers have been identified, law enforcement is treating each report with utmost seriousness. In Thüringen, 35 schools received threats, yet most continued classes normally, with only minor disruptions noted.

The situation has raised alarms not only in Germany but also in Austria and Hungary, highlighting a troubling trend. Authorities are actively investigating these threats, aiming to ensure the safety of students and staff during this critical examination period.
